For every action, there is a reaction. Which makes choosing the right actions pretty important, even when the actions are pretty ordinary.

I search for something vibrant to cheer me on a gray gloomy day, and I’m rewarded.

I stand in mountain pose, leaning neither forward into the future, nor backward into the past, and I am in the moment.
When I choose the right actions, the most satisfying reactions follow.
I clean the refrigerator shelves and drawers, and I’m motivated to buy fresh vegetables and fruit.

I walk, I look, I see, and I find something to shoot. Something so unremarkable others would pass it right by.
In a lifetime of choices, making the right ones predisposes pleasure in the results.
I scan the refrigerator stocked with fresh greens and ripe avocados and I’m hungry for a nutritious salad.

I push off in twelve inches of fresh snow to ski down a blue-black run, and I am alive, focused, exhilarated, there.
I sneak a read of the first six pages of a newly-acquired novel, and I’m inspired to finish writing my own.
When I choose the right actions, the most satisfying reactions follow. In a lifetime of choices, making the right ones predisposes pleasure in the results. ♣

Terrific, Lulu, it’s always wonderful to hear from someone who relates to what I’ve learned on this long path of learning we call Life. 😊

I taught these very principles to my 7 year old class at Sunday School today. We’re never too young or old to figure out that after every choice there’s a “what comes next.” Lovely pics too!

Never too young to teach ’em, Anita, how great! Your comment came with perfect timing, causing me to reread my post and find the energy to drag my sorry ass to this morning’s spin class. Needless to say, that action has yielded a very positive reaction! Nice hearing from you.
